For this unique ensemble, Mouawad designers drew inspiration from the natural, everlasting beauty of diamonds. Wonderfully cut into different shapes, each one as brilliant as could be, colorless diamonds were interwoven together with 18-karat white gold, enhancing the oh-so-bright theme.

For this, they gathered five of the world’s finest fancy intense yellow diamonds, and set them amongst colorless diamonds in a magnificent jewelry design fit for a princess.

Bringing out the revered beauty of these exceptional gems was also a key part of the process. Fashioning the intricate shank and mounting with 18-karat white and yellow gold created a dazzling and dramatic effect of color. The result is an extraordinary creation of unsurpassed charm and superb vitality.

YELLOW DIAMONDS

With fancy-color diamonds, color is the dominant value factor. Diamonds in GIA’s D-to-Z color-grading scale usually decrease in value as the color becomes more obvious. Just the opposite happens with fancy-color diamonds as their value generally increases with the strength and purity of the color.

Yellow is diamond’s second most common fancy color after brown, and it is mainly related to the presence of nitrogen. Many yellow diamonds, however, which are sometimes marketed as canary, are muted rather than pure and strong. Diamonds with pure and strong yellow color, fancy intense yellow and fancy deep yellow, are extremely rare and very valuable.
